Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Gatherly collects, uses, shares, and protects information when freelancers use the dashboard and when clients submit public intake forms.

Gatherly is a practical product draft and this policy should be reviewed before launch for the final legal operator, jurisdiction, and contact details.

We may collect account and authentication data, such as your name, email address, avatar, authentication identifiers, and login-related metadata.

We may collect profile, dashboard, project, form, and settings data, including project names, form fields, public form links, branding settings, plan information, and preferences.

We may collect client submissions through public forms, including answers, project details, contact details, uploaded files, locked email values, approval information, submission timestamps, and related metadata.

We may collect billing-related information, such as checkout state, subscription status, plan labels, payment provider customer identifiers, and webhook events. Full payment card details are handled by third-party payment providers.

We may collect support and feedback data, such as bug reports, feature requests, messages, screenshots, and related status updates.

We may collect technical logs and device information, such as IP-derived request information, browser details, error logs, performance information, security logs, and cookie or session data needed to operate the service.

Freelancers decide what information to request from clients through their Gatherly forms. If you are a client submitting a form, the freelancer who shared the form link is responsible for the form content and for explaining why they are collecting your information.

Gatherly processes public form submissions so freelancers can receive, review, organize, download, and act on client intake information.

We use information to provide and secure Gatherly, authenticate users, publish forms, receive submissions, store uploaded files, send notifications, process billing, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, improve product quality, and comply with legal obligations.

We may use usage and event data to understand product performance, diagnose problems, improve onboarding, and prioritize features.

Gatherly uses Google Analytics 4 only when NEXT_PUBLIC_GA_MEASUREMENT_ID is configured. If that environment variable is not set, the Google Analytics component does not load.

When configured, Gatherly loads Google gtag through next/script after the page becomes interactive. Gatherly disables default GA4 page views with send_page_view: false and sends sanitized page_view events manually.

Gatherly masks public form slugs and dashboard project IDs before sending page views. For example, public form pages are reported as /forms/[slug], and project dashboard routes are reported with /dashboard/projects/[projectId] rather than the specific project ID.

Gatherly also sends custom product events such as pricing views, login starts, project creation, AI helper usage, form publishing, public form submissions, and file or zip download actions.

Event parameters are sanitized and limited to non-content values such as counts, booleans, result modes, file kind, publish kind, and failure reason. Gatherly does not intentionally send form answers, uploaded file contents, project names, public form slugs, or project IDs in these analytics events.

Google may independently process device, browser, cookie, network, and IP-derived information as part of Google Analytics. Google's processing is governed by Google's own terms and privacy policies.

Gatherly may use third-party service providers to operate the product, including Supabase for authentication, database, and storage infrastructure; Google Analytics for usage analytics; Dodo Payments for checkout, billing, and subscription processing; Resend or similar email providers for transactional email; and AI providers for AI-assisted features.

These providers may process information on our behalf or under their own terms depending on the service and context.

Gatherly uses cookies or similar storage for authentication, session management, theme preferences, dashboard preferences, security, and analytics where configured.

Browser settings may let you block or delete cookies, but some Gatherly features may not work correctly without cookies required for login, security, or product functionality.

We keep information for as long as needed to provide Gatherly, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, comply with legal obligations, and operate backups and security systems.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no online service can guarantee perfect security.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or object to certain uses of your personal information. Freelancers can manage some information directly in the product.

To request help with privacy rights or data questions, contact support@gatherly.app. We may need to verify your identity and, for client form submissions, may direct you to the freelancer who collected the information.

Gatherly is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your location.

We may update this Privacy Policy as Gatherly changes. When changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users through the product, website, or another appropriate channel.
